The room was suffused with the sound.
With the sound alone. Nothing else.
This sound pierced everything.
The walls, the furniture, the carpets,
... and all of us,
from head to toe,
each nerve of ours,
making the cranium vibrate.
It resonated in each separate cell of the brain,
at places in the form of bass notes getting stronger in the stomach,
Then running as goosebumps under the skin,
from the inner side of the thighs,
along the subcostal sphere,
up to the orifice,
beating and striking in the temples with a dull rumble,
squatting in the cochleae.
